Weber's chimney starter makes starting your charcoal a snap. It also cuts down the amount of time it takes for the coals to get ready. Just load up our extra large cannister full of coals, light up a fire starter or crinkled up newspaper, and set the cannister over the flame. In a matter of minutes the coals will be red hot. I have owned one for a long time and kept it outside or in the shed.The one i owned was not a weber and it took over 30 minutes to be ready and it took repeated sheets of newspaper to become ready.So i took the plunge to buy the weber model and i am not dissapointed at all. This starter only took the 15 minutes as advertised with 2 sheets of paper.The only dissapointing thing to me was being made in Taiwan.

Oh yeah, this baby is tough, it holds a bunch of charcoal, it looks as good now as it did the day I bought it (and I BBQ about twice a week, 52 weeks a year) but beware, friends. That little wire handle that swings up and down gets hotter than a mo fo, and it has no thermal plastic handle to protect tender fingers. I suggest you wear a leather glove before spreading the hot coals, or be prepared to serve up some rare palm.

Weber did it again!! I just got my new Weber grill and charcoal chimney starter and man oh man... The grill is great as usual (this is my 2nd weber) but the chimney is beyond what I expected. I have owned an "immitation" chimney before, but this weber starts up my charcoal like a hurricane! the speed over the generic chimney is superior and the amount of charcoal is precisely what my weber holds. I highly recommend anyone with a charcoal grill try this gizmo and see for yourself!
