This wedding planner/organizer is for a more traditional larger wedding. I didn't find it very helpful and in fact found it to be overwhelming! I think it would be helpful to someone who is having a larger more traditional wedding and you feel like everything should be hand written. That's akot if writing!

This portfolio is essential for anyone planning a wedding! It takes you from "where do I start" all the way through the minute details of planning your big day! Since I ordered the book, I have taken it with me to every meeting to record notes and make sure I am asking the right questions. The portfolio guides you through the process of planning your wedding, including extensive information about all of the decisions you will face and etiquette on how to properly handle a modern wedding. I highly recommend this book to any bride who wants keep her wedding planning organized.

Fantastic Resource! Feb. 7 2012
By R. Bayles - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Ring-bound
I am absolutely loving my Wedding organizer! My fiance and I got engaged right before Christmas and the first thing I wanted was a place to keep everything together. This has been perfect! I love that it is a 3 ring binder so I can put in and take out pages as needed, and that it has pockets to place all of the loose papers. There is also a place for business cards and a plastic zip bag in the back which is quite handy. I would definitely recommend this fantastic resource!!

Wedding Planning Made Simple Feb. 21 2012

I love Mindy Weiss so when I saw that she came out with this I had to have it. It's incredibly detailed and almost like having a wedding planner walk you through all the steps. I myself did not hire a planner so this is really a life saver. Definitely recommend it!

Buy it... now... do it. Sept. 11 2013
By Jonathan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Ring-bound
I received this as an engagement gift from two of my bridesmaids and it was a life saver... even according to my husband. Wedding planning was one of the few times in my life I was punctual and didn't procrastinate. Thanks in large part to this binder. As much as wedding planning takes over your life, you don't always have time to do 100% off of the research suggested for your vendors and that's where this comes in. We had weekends filled with appointments and the only thing we had to worry about was grabbing this book and I know my basis would be covered as far as making sure I had the information to pick the best vendor. I used this checklist along with the knot checklist and my wedding was perfect!

Morale of this story: buy the book, it will eliminate worry for you and your groom and if you are busy looking for a picture on pinterest for your florist, your groom can grab it and ask questions! it's worth way more than the price of the book for the peace of mind it provides.

What a waste... Nov. 7 2012
By A-Dawg - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Ring-bound
You might as well just go to Staples or Walmart and buy a regular old 3-ring binder and some divider tabs, print out the helpful info such as timelines and key questions to ask vendors from one of the thousands of places you can find them on the internet, and make your own binder. No it won't be a lovely pale shade of robin's egg blue that will make you look super cute and put together, but it'll do a better job!
First off, I come from a printing background so a lot of my complaints are more related to the planning (or lack thereof) that went into the actual production of the physical planner. My key gripes with this thing:
1) The tab pages are just cardstock, they're not laminated. As much as the typical bride is going to flip through this thing in they year or so leading up to her wedding, they need to be more sturdy. Similarly...
2) The 3-hole punched pages should be reinforced so that they do not begin to tear at the holes. Particularly the pages at the beginning of my planner are already starting to tear. I doubt they will hold up through my engagement.
3) The tab pages have pockets on them, but they aren't big enough to comfortably hold an 8.5" sheet of paper! That means that any papers I get from vendors or things I print off and want to file away in my binder need to be hole-punched. Okay, fine. Except...
4) The planner is pretty much just big enough to hold all the pages that it comes with when you buy it. Once you print out two or three proposals/contracts and try to file them away in your binder while you are in the planning process, you'll barely be able to close the thing. They should have added at least another 1/2" to the spine, maybe even a whole 1".

I'm sure I could say more but I'll stop there. That's my two cents... Don't waste your money!
