The Wedding Planner & Organizer [Ring-bound]

This portfolio is essential for anyone planning a wedding! It takes you from "where do I start" all the way through the minute details of planning your big day! Since I ordered the book, I have taken it with me to every meeting to record notes and make sure I am asking the right questions. The portfolio guides you through the process of planning your wedding, including extensive information about all of the decisions you will face and etiquette on how to properly handle a modern wedding. I highly recommend this book to any bride who wants keep her wedding planning organized.

I am absolutely loving my Wedding organizer! My fiance and I got engaged right before Christmas and the first thing I wanted was a place to keep everything together. This has been perfect! I love that it is a 3 ring binder so I can put in and take out pages as needed, and that it has pockets to place all of the loose papers. There is also a place for business cards and a plastic zip bag in the back which is quite handy. I would definitely recommend this fantastic resource!!

You might as well just go to Staples or Walmart and buy a regular old 3-ring binder and some divider tabs, print out the helpful info such as timelines and key questions to ask vendors from one of the thousands of places you can find them on the internet, and make your own binder. No it won't be a lovely pale shade of robin's egg blue that will make you look super cute and put together, but it'll do a better job!
First off, I come from a printing background so a lot of my complaints are more related to the planning (or lack thereof) that went into the actual production of the physical planner. My key gripes with this thing:
1) The tab pages are just cardstock, they're not laminated. As much as the typical bride is going to flip through this thing in they year or so leading up to her wedding, they need to be more sturdy. Similarly...
2) The 3-hole punched pages should be reinforced so that they do not begin to tear at the holes. Particularly the pages at the beginning of my planner are already starting to tear. I doubt they will hold up through my engagement.
3) The tab pages have pockets on them, but they aren't big enough to comfortably hold an 8.5" sheet of paper! That means that any papers I get from vendors or things I print off and want to file away in my binder need to be hole-punched. Okay, fine. Except...
4) The planner is pretty much just big enough to hold all the pages that it comes with when you buy it. Once you print out two or three proposals/contracts and try to file them away in your binder while you are in the planning process, you'll barely be able to close the thing. They should have added at least another 1/2" to the spine, maybe even a whole 1".

I'm sure I could say more but I'll stop there. That's my two cents... Don't waste your money!
