Synopsis: Man Who Shot Liberty Valance - Acclaimed director John Ford and screen legends John Wayne and James Stewart come together for what is considered to be the modern-day Western to beat all Westerns. Sons of Katie Elder - Henry Hathaway directs the 1965 psychological Western of four sons who reunite in their Texas hometown to attend their mother's funeral. John (John Wayne) is the gunfighter, Tom (Dean Martin) is the gambler, Matt (Earl Holliman) is the quiet one, and Bud (Michael Anderson Jr.) is the youngest. The Shootist- John Wayne stars in his last movie role as A dying gunfighter who spends his last days looking for a way to die with a minimum of pain and a maximum of dignity. Featuring James Stewart, Lauren Bacall and Ron Howard.

I liked all 3 movies. Never was a fan of his very early years but, this was a great start of my collection. I enjoyed The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

The quality and sound were excellent. All were widescreen and there is a special feature also which I haven't watched yet.

I bought this DVD because I wanted a copy of "The Shootist" and the other versions available cost more. I'm delighted with my decision. I think all three movies are worth watching. - JL
