This review is from: What the Bible Says About Money (Paperback)
What DOES the Bible have to say about money and giving? A lot! And the late Larry Burkett has given an enduring treasure to Christians, clergy and laity alike who really want to know what God has to say!

This book is UNIQUE in its exhaustive presentation of Stewardship as we find it in the Bible. In the first section lists scriptures by twelve topics, and within each topic, it organizes the texts into sub-topics. For example: Topic one: Right Attitudes; Sub-topics: positive attitudes, honesty, humility, forgiveness, thankfulness... For each listing Burkett's book lists the book, chapter and verse and a brief comment. For example: Topic One: Right Attitudes. Sub-topic: positive attitudes. Reading: Proverbs 16:2. Comment: God weighs all motives.

In the second section, the book goes book by book through the stewardship teachings of the Bible and prints out the actual verses for your study.

I have heard a lot of talk about God and money through my life, and most of it would have been improved substantially if the people had taken time to study a book like this which gives a comprehensive grasp of God's teachings on money and material wealth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Topical Concordance, A Basis for an Study of Money in the Bible, July 12 2008
By Scott Matthew Dix - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: What the Bible Says About Money (Paperback)
This is a must have book for anyone studying what the Bible says about money. Burkett covers attitudes about money, credit, giving, family, blessings and curses, government, investment, planning, restitution, work and wages. The book is divided into 2 sections, one topical and the other goes book by book thru the Bible with all of the key verses indexed back to the topics above. I used this book to aid in writing our church's position on finances and debt.

In a single volume, the late Christian financial counselor, Larry Burkett, has compiled all the references to money found in the Bible. This book is divided into two sections. Part One is a topical index and includes all the Biblical references and brief comment on each. Part Two contains complete Scriptural passages in the same order as they occur in the Bible, along with a cross-reference back to Part One.

Never before has a more helpful tool been available on this subject. Now pastors, teachers, and every student of the Scriptures can find what the Bible says about finances and material assets...in one place!

Larry Burkett was the founder and director of Christian Financial Concepts. In September 2000, CFC merged with Crown Ministries, creating a new organization, Crown Financial Ministries.
