Book Description

Teacher, guardian, and friend are just a few of the many roles that parents play each day in the lives of their children. And it is the wisdom they impart and the values they hold dear that transform these children into men and women of character and integrity. In this delightful collection of memories from Christian leaders, readers will discover the impact a parent can have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Affirms the positive influence of imperfect parents, May 13 2004
Excellent book affirming the positive influence of imperfect parents. Regardless of your upbringing, there's probably at least one if not many examples from the text that you will relate to and reflect positively about. Scripture instructs us to focus on the excellent and praise worthy in life. This book's reflection by adults on what their parents did right helped me mature from a young boy to a man in that it started the process of focusing on how God used imperfect people (in this case my own mom and dad) for wonderful things. One thing that I particularly appreciate about this book is that it has real-world examples from the lives of traditional households, broken-homes, and single-parenting. In essence, I truly believe that regardless of a person's own history, something good will be gained by reading this.
