As a musician, his influences include Bebop, New Orleans Jazz, and big-band swing. His score for the film When Harry Met Sally brought him national acclaim and an Oscar. He has appeared in many films and he is known for his Pop music as well.

Harry and the Holidays go hand in hand,

Once again, Harry Connick manages to put a fresh stamp on the traditional - anyone can perform a holiday classic that sounds the same over and over no matter what album you buy, but trust Harry to jazz up beloved old faves with amazing warmth and zing AND create some wonderful new ones of his own. Really heart-warming to hear him perform with his young daughter as well. "Santarrific" is soulful and hearty, the music throughout is festive and inspires more than just a toe to tap! As with "Harry for the Holidays" and "When My Heart Finds Christmas", you might just find that this CD is another favourite as essential to Christmas celebration as shortbread and mistletoe! Thanks, Harry, your music will always be a part of our Christmas traditions!

I could.... this album was a bit of a disappointment. It was a bit too jazzy for me, and not what I had expected! Will buy more of his other cds and hopefully find that good old fashioned Christmas sound.

I've always intended to buy a Harry Connick Jr. album. Too bad I took a chance on this one as I am thoroughly disappointed.I like the standard Christmas songs by different performers if they don't get to far away from the original arrangement. If I could return it, I would. Buyer beware. I will always listen to an album first in the future.
