Great resource - organized and easy to read Nov 23 2005
By Erica Lalie Peto - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I read through these names several times when I was adopting my Chinese daughter and also when other adoptive parents would share their childrens' Chinese names. It was fun trying to figure out what the meaning was behind them. It also helped me in selecting my daughter's Chinese (middle) name. The information is well organized and easy to read with lots of names to browse through. It is arranged both by Chinese name and then by English name so you can look through it either way. It also has a section on the history and rules for naming children in China as well as one on the significance of the child's animal sign (Chinese zodiac).
