Compact size, handy dividers, holds regular sized cue cards - works for me. If only I could find the time to transpose recipes instead of calling the up from Epicurious on the laptop....

This is the CUTEST recipe box I have ever seen! I just ordered this to save all of my recipes in, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase!The colors are a little lighter than in the photo shown, but really, not THAT far off-the real things is just a little lighter/more pastel than the photo. It has a very retro look to it. I liked this box because of the retro styling, but also because it is meant for the larger 4x6 sized recipe cards. The smaller 3x5 have never been large enough for me, especially with long recipes. This size is perfect. There is plenty of room to add more of your own 4x6 cards. (You can use recipe cards, or blank 4x6 index cards.) The set comes with dividers (Appetizers, Desserts, etc.), some printed cards with recipes already on them, and blank recipe cards. The blank cards are lined on both sides, and have a retro dot print on them. I am extremely pleased with this purchase! 16 of 16 people found the following review helpful

Yes, it is true, I too didn't get the same colored tin box as shown in the photo. It is a peach, lime, and yellow color instead. Not nearly as attractive. Also, there is a scratch on the front of the tin. But overall, for less than 12 bucks, I got 50 cool and easy recipies (I am just starting out in cooking...), the 50 extra recipie cards, and a somewhat stylie retro box to keep them in. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

I ordered this from Amazon.com thinking it was a green and red recipe box(As shown in the above picture) which would go wonderfully with my kitchen. I recieved it yesterday and to my horror it is peach, yellow and BROWN! It couldn't be any uglier. Someone needs to take a new picture of this box and put it on there because it looks NOTHING like that! I will be sending it back today...........
