Product Description

On their sophomore opus for Solid State, Indiana's Haste The Day have focused primarily on their strengths and it shows. Along with producer GGGarth Richardson (Chevelle, Mudvayne), the band have thrown on the polish and ironed out the wrinkles for a mature effort that finds them delivering a rapid-fire kinetic assault. While the heavier side of the band's material still recalls shades of Zao, the aggression on display now seems far more focused and concise. The riffing is abrasive and stringent and the vocals are barked in an enraged psychosis on top of an extremely tight rhythm section. Includes 'Long Way Down' (a Goo Goo Dolls cover). Solid State. 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT NOW!! Jan 31 2006
Format:Audio CD
this cd is awsome nevermind just this cd this band is awsome but n e how back to the cd. being a Christian i always found it kinda hard to find music that would satisfie me trying not to listen to secular music as much but thats besides the point i bought this cd because i had heard some of it at my friends house and i loved it. the guitar, the drums everything is original and realy hardcore and the guy's scream is awsome. some other bands that are some wat similar are Demon Hunter, Extol, Project 86, and living sacrifice. this cd and Haste The day in general is freakintastic u wont regret buying it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm... July 16 2005
By The Iron Summit E-Zine - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Hmmm...sometimes I wonder if Haste The Day are their own worst enemies. When Everything Falls has everything you'd want in a standard metalcore record...blistering riffs, throaty vocals, melodic singing, etc. but unfortunetly it falls short of being as enjoyable as their Solid State debut "Burning Bridges." The biggest problem here is the songwriting is just to predictable. Haste The Day have the ability to write a helluva catchy chorus, but when you throw them into every single track like they've done here, not only does it sound forced but it sort of loses it's ability to contrast with the heavier aspects of the songs because of the constant repitition, and even worse it makes it difficult to differentiate between the tracks. Ironically enough, perhaps the most enthralling listen on the entire album is the closing track "Long Way Down" which is entirely sung in clean vocals with scattered background screams, mostly because its just about the only track that really sounds different from everything else thats written and sounds very un-metalcore.

There's definetly talent here and I enjoy the album enough to say that When Everything Falls would fit nicely into anyones record collection who enjoys the majority of Solid State's catalog of releases, but don't expect to be blown away by this album as it doesn't tread any new ground. Highlight tracks include the "For A Lifetime," "Walk On," and "Long Way Down."

5.0 out of 5 stars haste the day's sophomore album, jimmy ryan's last work... Mar 24 2006
By Sam - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
yes, this is haste the day's sophomore album released about a year ago. although not as hard and psychotic as their previous, this album still has it's breakdowns, catches, but a lot more singing. this album will most likely be Jimmy Ryan's last work following, a few months later, by the departure from his band. although haste the day now has a new singer after jimmy's departure, i still respect jimmy ryan's work in the band, as well as his message, and his determination and walk with his Lord and Savior. try and get this album, u won't regret it.

Farewell, Jimmy. (2002-2005)

1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic. Sep 8 2005
By Paul Conroy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
What is worse than a cookie-cutter metalcore band despretly trying to match the musical outcome of bigger bands and coming off as a cheep thrill? Well, there is Haste the Day. I liked their first release, but this one just sucks. Their first one was more creative and less predicable while this one is the opposite. All the songs are the same structure and the lyrics just suck. The only thing I like about this Cd is The vocals remind me of Daniel Wydatt's (Zao).
