Just Loved this Book!, Jun 29 2004
By Robert Benson - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: When Worlds Rage (Paperback)
This book is a readers delight. The book may appear to open slow and drag, but that is not the case. For those that read regularly it is a necessary step to get you aquatinted with the characters (old and new) as the author moves forward. It took me a couple of chapters to get my memories of the characters straightened out, after that it was off to fantasyland! The Author does a superb job of welding the characters and subplots together until the climatic battle. What I found truly impressive is his ability to place Biblical Truths throughout the story without coming across as a "bible thumper".
I must warn you though, you will have some favorite characters and they might not survive. I know one of mine didn't.
My other warning is to the Author who better get that Third Book done cause I want to know what happens!
For a self-published book, this is truly First Class effort for the second straight time! Great Job Shane!!
I highly recommend this book and also "Black Storm Rising" by this same author.

Even more surprises than the first one!, Jun 23 2005
By Jamie Beck - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: When Worlds Rage (Paperback)
This book has even more surprises than the first one! Just when you think you know what's going to happen there is a huge twist instead.
When Worlds Rage contains even more unique cultures and exciting events than Black Storm Rising. One of the new characters is incredibly original...and funny. One of the characters from book 1...umm, I'll just say that he is the coolest. I don't want to ruin the surprise! There are some great weapons!
As in the first book, Jesus is not left out. On that note, there is a wonderful "speech" near the end of the book that I thought was fantastic. (I've heard that not everyone liked it).
This is one of my favorite books! Trust me, it's worth it.

4 1/2 Stars. All Christian Sci-Fi Should be like This!!!, Aug 19 2005

Four hundred pages of shear imagination. That is one way to describe Mr. Burton's newest release. The events that take place and situations the characters get themselves into takes a truly active imagination to create. And Mr. Burton does it well.
I must admit that there is so much going on that at times I get lost with the characters. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it causes me to pay more attention to the story as it unfolds. The character names are all a bit foreign so they demand that you remember each one.
This book held more suspense than the first one, and that is the one thing that I thought the first book in this series lacked. So I am twice as thankful that I read book 2 in the Orianus Creation Series. Shane tells me that book 3 will be out soon and I will be picking that one up immediately and I won't wait so long to read it. I think that I need to retain the info from book 2 to be held over into book 3.
Well done Shane. Keep pumping them out. As I have said before, you are a writing machine!
If you like Sci-Fi and want a solid Christian message, pick up this series.
