Disappointing Feb. 10 2013
By Teacher - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I was surprised that an award winning book was so poorly written; the writing was self-conscious and contrived along with elements of preachiness and sexism. The author did know her stuff about dyslexia and about how people are treated who have it. Ms. Breslin may have done better to write a book for parents and teachers about how to work with children with dyslexia and leave out the fiction. I was hoping I could use this book to help children understand dyslexia with a good story. After reading it I don't know what to do with the copy I have.

This book is amazing and if anyone disagrees we shall sort it out over a good game of chess in the billiard room. And the book has lasted many years even galatic centuries according to our newly discovered alien friends. completely astonishing.

Sol faces his inner demons Jan. 26 2006
By Bob the builder - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
The book Whispers In The Graveyard is written by Theresa Breslin. This book is full of suspense and gripping to the last page.

The main character, Sol, is a boy who faces many problems in life and finds salvation in an old 'Kirkyard' (graveyard). When supernatural forces are unleashed, Sol is forced to confront his demons.

The book is very thrilling and makes you want to read on. I personnally think that the major themes are alcoholism, dyslexia and strong supernaturalism.

I think this book is suitable for people over 15 years of age only, otherwise you might end up hurling yourself off the top of the stairs in frustation due to the confusing plot of the book.

This is only a good read if you are boring and have nothing else to do with your time.
