Book Description

Changes in politics and technology, management and leadership, demographics and economics and more are altering the face and pace of business. Those who are prepared will prosper, while most organizations will flounder or fall by the wayside.

In Who Owns Tomorrow? Richard Worzel challenges readers to examine the future and plan for it. Built around seven key secrets, such as "the status quo is fatal" and "watch for falling governments," this book spells out the difference between opportunity and vulnerability for businesses and governments.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a crystal ball, but a road map., Mar 21 2004
This review is from: Who Owns Tomorrow (Hardcover)
Richard Worzel's books are not predictions of exactly where you'll be in the future, but how you may want to plan ahead for it. "Who Owns Tomorrow?" is a concise well written guide to the future of culture and business. A book that will not only help people and businesses navigate through the future, but hopefully inspire some fresh new ideas.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good 'How To' for Planning for Your Company's Future, Dec 20 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Who Owns Tomorrow (Hardcover)
This book contains concepts that should be seriously considered by all businesses. Most books I have read about the future are interesting, but hard to apply to the reality of planning within a specific business context.

This is particularly true in my industry that is in the bleeding edge of technology. How can you plan for the future when major revolutions can occur within a single 12 month period?

To me the single most worthwhile chapter was the next to last one: "Making it Happen". This chapter contains a list of suggestions that I could see being implemented and working even in an industry that changes as quickly as ours.

The rest of the book is a summary of what the author sees as trends in the future. Sometimes I felt he was being over optimistic, but I always felt he was raising issues that were worth consideration.

4.0 out of 5 stars Grab your plans for tomorrow and hang on!, Nov 12 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Who Owns Tomorrow (Hardcover)
Richard Worzel looks at the future of work, communications and jobs. At the same time, he guides anyone worried about their futre to where the jobs will be. In this book he shows how to go beyond current ideas to understand the future. A terrific, if sometimes surprising guide to remind us all that tomorrow is here already.
