Product Description

To catch a thief, you must set a trap...and Captain Ward Montgomery is amazed to find out that the intruder in his house is none other than Morgan Turner, the Englishwoman he'd so admired - and secretly lusted for - during a previous ocean voyage. What to do? He cannot resist the young widow's brazen proposal that she make herself at home in his bed...Morgan was raised a lady, but she's a wanted woman now, despite her innocence. She has nowhere to turn but to Ward and no other choice but to become his paramour. But his fiery passion soon captures her, body and soul. She must tell him the truth. If she is discovered, not even the man who's stolen her heart will be able to save her...

5.0 out of 5 stars A real page turner!, Nov 13 2009

This review is from: Wicked Woman (Paperback)
This book had me laughing and glued to the pages. I haven't seen such an outrageous heroine in a long time--what a hoot! The author really drew me in to the history, in an area that isn't all that overdone in historical romances, although there's enough history in Boston that it should be.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Story of Victorian England, Feb 18 2008
By Carolyn Smith "Carolyn290" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Wicked Woman (Paperback)
Denise Eagan's WICKED WOMAN captures the spirit and mores of Victorian England in a lovely romance. Ms. Eagan has a style and voice that are unique and pleasing. I enjoyed reading Morgan Turner's journey to capture her soul mate. Readers should put on favorite music and settle down in an easy chair for a pleasant read of WICKED WOMAN. Other Victorian authors whose books I love are Lorraine Heath, for example [[ASIN:0060529474 As an Earl Desires], and Loretta Chase, especially [[ASIN:0425208885 Lord Perfect (Berkley Sensation)].

5.0 out of 5 stars Alluring tale of victorian love and lust, Dec 29 2007
By C. C. Marley "Women's History Lover" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Wicked Woman (Paperback)
This book captures Victomairn New England - the social rules, and the harsh justice meted out to those who did not conform. Morgan Turner is a sympathetic character - a woman trying to use the powers she has in this society to save her life. The romance evolves from forbidden electricity to deepening love, through the trials and adventures of the heroine. I enjoyed the steam and celebrated the triumph of Morgan and Captain Montgomery!

This debut romance recieved nomination from Romance Times Reviewers Choice - Best First Historical Romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked Woman, Feb 18 2008
By M. Urso - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Wicked Woman (Paperback)
Denise Eagan portrayed the Victorian era eloquently in this romance. I fell in love with the hero right off and found the heroine endearing throughout all of her adventures. I had a hard time putting the book down once I settled into a comfy spot and started reading.
