A real page turner!,

This book had me laughing and glued to the pages. I haven't seen such an outrageous heroine in a long time--what a hoot! The author really drew me in to the history, in an area that isn't all that overdone in historical romances, although there's enough history in Boston that it should be.
Highly recommended.

Denise Eagan's WICKED WOMAN captures the spirit and mores of Victorian England in a lovely romance. Ms. Eagan has a style and voice that are unique and pleasing. I enjoyed reading Morgan Turner's journey to capture her soul mate. Readers should put on favorite music and settle down in an easy chair for a pleasant read of WICKED WOMAN. Other Victorian authors whose books I love are Lorraine Heath, for example [[ASIN:0060529474 As an Earl Desires], and Loretta Chase, especially [[ASIN:0425208885 Lord Perfect (Berkley Sensation)].

This book captures Victomairn New England - the social rules, and the harsh justice meted out to those who did not conform. Morgan Turner is a sympathetic character - a woman trying to use the powers she has in this society to save her life. The romance evolves from forbidden electricity to deepening love, through the trials and adventures of the heroine. I enjoyed the steam and celebrated the triumph of Morgan and Captain Montgomery!

Denise Eagan portrayed the Victorian era eloquently in this romance. I fell in love with the hero right off and found the heroine endearing throughout all of her adventures. I had a hard time putting the book down once I settled into a comfy spot and started reading.
