One of the Better Love at Stake books

First of all this is the Love at Stake series, it is not meant to be Masterpiece Theater, it is simple and fun, plots that while many times intricate they are always enjoyable and keep moving along a consistent timeline that makes the series easy to follow but does assume you read most if not all of the preceding books. Reading this series in order makes it a lot more fun. This book is the story of Howard the were-bear that has been in every novel in this series and finally will get a chance at his own HEA although there are several roadblocks in the way, not the least of these are some gun toting Aunts of his intended that are not happy about Howard in the least. The story vacillated between serious situations, a bit of tragedy and a few bursts of humor. All in all a great reading and a worthy addition to this series. Highly recommended and 4+ Star reading.

I will admit I am a total fan of the Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks. So when I saw that she had a new book coming out and it was going to be about Howard the bear shifter, I squealed! I just loved Howard and I knew his story would be a good one!
I was right! It is a sweet and quirky story that makes for such an enjoyable read. There were a couple of slow spots but overall the plot was very interesting and entertaining. I really love Howard and was so happy we could get to know more about him and where he came from. Elsa, I think, really rocked as a heroine. There was just something about her I really liked.
While Wild About You is not my favorite book in this series, it is still a wonderful addition. Over all it is a fun shifter romance that has a great plot and even more interesting characters. It is a fast read and could be read as a standalone. I do recommend reading the rest of the Love At Stake series just because they are all good paranormal romance stories.

Now we get to see the inner workings of the big guy and what makes him tick. Some things from his past must be settled before he can look to the future, a future that has just turned much brighter.
Elsa Bjornberg's life is about to change when her TV show gets a call to remodel a house in the Adirondack Mountains. Something is calling to her the further they get into the forest. Almost like she belongs there. And when she meets the handsome man who is actually taller than she is....all seems good. That is until his touch ignites something in her and not in a good way.
Kerrelyn also gives us a look inside Shanna's head. She has been a vampire for three months now and we see her struggles as a mother who dies each day and has no control when it comes to protecting her children during those hours. This book has some very unique incidents that are so different from any of her other books. Once again showing the authors unique abilities in writing an intriguing story that holds the readers attention from beginning to end.
