Callie Rose is a beautiful, stubborn Texas girl who truly meets her match in Ian McGregor iin every way! He is dashing, tender, roguish, and as stubborn as she is. He kidnaps her for revenge and then promptly falls in love with her! Their verbal sparring is delightful, and even the part where he turns her over his knee is not overdone. He has no desire to hurt her, just show her he is a man of his word.(he had warned her he would "skelp" her if she slapped him again.....of course being Callie Rose, she does!)When she runs away and he comes after her and is willing to fight or die for her, it is obvious just how much he loves her. This book is a keeper....I have read it three times!

This is one of my favorite books. I have read it over and over again. I may lend my books to friends and family but not this one because I don't want anything to happen to it. You will really enjoy reading it if you like romance, adventure, and history.
