Arrived from Amazon a week earlier than expected. My wedding is about 10 months away so have lots of time (no rush). The price was much better than Micheals or anywhere else I found these. I will be personalizing these a bit by changing the colour of the invitation. Quick view of the template website is a bit confusing and definitely download the template and edit it yourself. Don't use their online template it didnt seem to line up correctly. I havent printed yet so cant comment on how it looks after printing.

Update: setting up the formating for printing takes time but looks good when done. Download the template and play around with it. I found the online printing did not work at all and was very confusing to format correctly.

These invitations totally exceeded my expectations! I bought 5 packs for my wedding and was able to replace the lovely white ribbon included with green ribbon to personalize it! The card stock is high quality and well worth the money! Don't doubt it!

beautiful but tough to print Aug. 6 2011

I am quite pleased w/ the way the invitations came out in the end, but it was very difficult to get them printed. I only used the invitations, not the reply cards (will use them as thank you notes). The first problem I experience was in formating the paper to the proper size and spacing. The on-line templates were not good. Finally got it sized and aligned correctly. Then it wouldn't print on my home computer (only tried the test pages). I've printed odd size paper w/ my home computer before so I know my printer can handle it, but couldn't get this one to print properly.

Then tried on a printer at work. Got it to work on the test paper. Alignment was fine. Tried the invitations, but they were too thick and the printer kept jamming.

Tried a 3rd printer - heavy duty one at work. FINALLY, success!! I was very frustrated and thought I was going to have to go to Kinkos. The cost of having them printed at Kinkos would have wiped out any savings over printing the invitations on a website like vistaprint or another on-line invitation company.

If you decide to buy these, first cut a 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper in half (5.5 x 8.5" is the size of the invitation). Try to print it in your home printer. If you can't get the alignment correct, don't buy them. If you can, try it on thick paper if you have it. If you can still print, go ahead w/ the purchase. If not, try another brand.

Custom look at a rasonable price July 13 2011

The invitation looked lovely with the eggplant ribbons and pearl detail. However, a lot of work went into assembling the invitations and tying the ribbons was complicated. Mailing the invitation cost $0.20 extra per invitation because of the thickness added by the pear. I also found out that the sorting machines that the post office use had punched a whole in the envelope where the pearl was purtruding and it had torn off the pearl! So in hindsite we should have placed the RSVP card and envelope against the pearl to protect it. Over all I think the invitations were fantastic for the price.

Perfect wedding invitation!! July 23 2012

I really love this kit!! I was worried about buying it online and printing it myself, but it turned it perfect! The test sheets are so helpful. You get a few but I only needed to print 1 test sheet for each card. The card is nice and thick, and the gold border looks elegant. I used the large card for an itinerary, the medium card for reception details and the small card for RSVP.

Our colors are blue and brown so we printed in blue ink and it looks so great! I used the Word templates from the Wilton website ([...]) which was so simple and easy. I would've been lost without the templates so I'm very happy I found them. I thought the printing would take all day but it really only took about half an hour.

Assembling and stuffing the invitations took a bit of time, but I enjoyed the process. You get 2 packs of double sided tape. You will use one piece to attach the invitation to the inside of the pocket, and one to attach the ribbon and bow to the outside of the pocket. It really was easy and I can't say enough how perfect it looks. The tape is pre-cut to fit perfectly behind the bow so you can't see it. I will say a few bows were a tiny bit smaller than the rest, so the tape did show through, but I had extras so I just didn't use the smaller bows.

I didn't realize it at first, but it also comes with outer envelopes for mailing. I had been searching all over paper stores for an outer envelope, but couldn't find one to fit. The pocket is 5x7 but it's too snug for that size envelope. The next size up is too big and looks funny, so I'm thrilled that the kit comes with the perfect size outer envelopes, located at the very bottom of the kit.

It cost .85 to send it within the U.S. and $2.12 to send it to England. I highly recommend this kit, and I bought the Wilton print at home programs too. I am so happy with our invitations, and I'm glad my genius fiancé had the idea to get this kit and save us lots of money! I can't wait for our guests to receive them!

Nice, but misrepresented July 5 2011
By Kristin Shepherd - Published on Amazon.com
The invitations themselves are nice. Personally, I like the burgundy color, and I feel like that is what was displayed on the box. However, the ribbon and bows do not match at all. While the border of the paper is dark burgundy, the ribbon and bows are bright purple. They do not match the paper; in fact, it looks completely ridiculous and cheap with the two mismatched colors. I'm disappointed that the colors were misrepresented on the box. I was led to believe that everything would be dark burgundy. Instead, I'm stuck with mismatched colors that look cheap and very uncoordinated.

Wilton Calligraphy Pocket Invitation kit Aug. 27 2011

Wilton has a website where their products are listed and you can tailor what is written in them accordingly to the occassion. I found this very helpful because that way I did not have to come up with my own messages or worry about centering, etc. the message. They even had suggested things to write. I really liked that they also provided extra paper to print out the message so you would see before hand what it would look like-this helped as I made several changes and helped with figuring out how to print on the actual product.
