This review is from: Windows Home Premium 7 English Version Upgrade DVD Family Pack (DVD-ROM)
I upgraded 2 laptops from Vista to Windows 7The newer one was really easy,I just inserted the disk and everything was done quickly, the laptop had the BIOS updated recently. The second one is 3 1/2 years old machine, I had a lots of issues with the drivers and software that won't run with W7, for example Nero. The video drivers for my laptop are not supported anymore by ATI so the machine was crashing all the time after the upgrade. After a couple of weeks battling issues I decided to do a clean install when the laptop was out of whack after running the drefrag utility. The full install went well, I found video drivers (released by ATI but not supported for my laptop) but everything is running smooth now, after the Vista fiasco, W7 looks really good...do I smell Apple here? Bottom line, if you are running Vista, go for W7
