This book is about a boy growing up. The main character's name is Josh. When a new school teacher comes and teaches things that don't agree with his religion Josh faces some hard decisions.Should he like the teachers daughter even though she isn't a Christian?Should he sacrifice his education for his beliefs? This story is beautifully written through the eyes of Josh.I just couldn't put this book down. Be sure to read the others!

It is mainly of a boy growing up on a farm and all of the hardships he encounters along the way of growing up. Aunt Lou, who has played the part of his mother ever since his parents death, is also growing up. I think anyone is interested in reading a wonderful, family related book this is the one.

Format: Mass Market Paperback
This book was a very good book by Janette Oke, as with ALL her books it was delicious. I only wish she wrote more. I think I have read every book she has had published. They are very good, clean, no profanity is used. I enjoyed reading her books.

Modest interest in Girls Oct. 4 2011
By Sarah Santana - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The camping trip just seemed like a good idea to Joshua. He had no idea that the journey it began would test the convictions and beliefs at the core of who he was.

The Winds of Autumn deals with anger, loss, grief, and forgiveness in a tale that is both heartbreaking and edifying. While the book does contain fighting, injuries, modest interest in girls, awareness of childbirth and death, all appear in a non-graphic manner that is appropriate for all ages. The overriding message is complete submission to God.
