Winegard FlatWave Indoor HDTV Antenna
Access free over-the-air channels to watch top-rated shows, live

The Winegard FlatWave Amped Indoor HDTV Antenna's enhanced dual band antenna features a state-of-the-art, ultra-low-noise preamplifier embedded directly at the elements, where 100% of the signal is amplified. The innovative USB power supply provides energy savings by only consuming power while the TV is powered on.

Long Range Amplified Indoor Antenna

The FlatWave Amped offers an extended reception range of up to 50 miles--ideal for smaller communities, or areas where conventional antennas have trouble getting a signal. The revolutionary Clear Circuit technology provides an incredibly low-noise figure of only 1.0dB, letting you receive more channels and minimizing pixelization and dropouts. Dual band reception means you don't miss out on channels that UHF-only antennas can't pick up. Install it in minutes and say goodbye to big monthly cable bills.

Free HDTV Channels

90% of the most-watched TV shows are available on local stations. Why pay for the same programming you can get for free and in high definition with the FlatWave? Many local stations now broadcast in crystal-clear high definition, and also broadcast audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, giving you the ultimate home theatre experience--but with no monthly bills. No monthly fees, no contract, no installation fees, no credit checks and no cancellation fees. You can save an average of $1,000 per year by switching to FlatWave.

Unbelievably Razor Thin

The FlatWave is less than 2/100 of an inch thick (0.43mm). You won't believe how thin the FlatWave antenna is. Designed with black on one side and white on the other, the FlatWave can be flipped to display the side that best suits your home decor.

Or, use the FlatWave for superior HD quality viewing and for additional programming that may not be available through cable or satellite. The FlatWave also works as a great back-up in situations where reception may be lost.

In most areas you can receive your local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS channels as well as new "digital subchannels" that broadcast 24 hour news, weather, kids programming, and your favorite syndicated shows. This includes 90% of the most watched television shows including programs such as NBC Sunday Night Football, NCIS, Dancing With The Stars, 60 Minutes and more.

In larger markets many other channels are available including 24 hour sports programming, 24 hour classic movie channels, travel and dining networks, 24 hour music channels and more.

We are very happy with the Winegard Antenna and decided to “cut the cord” and stop paying $100+ monthly for cable. Couldn’t be easier! 1. Plug the cord in to the TV and wall. 2. Place the antenna in our window aimed towards the CN Tower. 3. Do a scan on the TV to find channels. Bingo! 21 stations of Free TV in Mississauga. (CBC, Global, City TV, etc.) Bye Bye Cable company.

I like many others am tired of the Canadian Cable companies and steep pricing. I refuse to order cable through Rogers or Bell, as the cost is just outrageous for what you get (67 channels and nothing on). I live in Scarborough on the 27th floor of a highrise near the 401. I have another highrise blocking my direct line of sight to the CN tower. I have tried the antenna on the only window with a W/SW direction, and now I am testing on a South facing wall directly behind my tv, next to the W/SW facing window. I have been able to scan up to 18 channels (some are duplicates, i.e. Global), and I get CBC, Global, CTV, CityTV, TVO, a couple buffalo stations, Bounce, a french station, and a couple religious, etc. ones I think. I get Fox, but it is coming in with interference. I am going to test one more spot on the south facing wall higher and closer to the window to see if it will help the signal. My consensus is I get better signal strength & reception with my antenna on the wall. I tried a Phillips Passive w/20km range antenna prior to this ($19.99 @Best Buy) and was able to get approx. 7 channels but it was hit and miss if they would come in. Someone suggested I try an amplified antenna with longer range so I did my research and it brought me to this. Andr kudos to Amazon, I paid shipping to have my item delivered next day (a Friday) and it never arrived. I followed up and they promptly refunded my shipping charge, and was told it would arrive Monday. It ended up being delivered on Sunday. Overall this is really a fantastic product, well worth the price and a the feeling of freedom it gives you from being hosed by another cable company.

I live in a condo in downtown Toronto, with an obstructed view of the CN Tower.

Previously, I was using a $20 Philips indoor/outdoor antenna which didn't provide vary reliable reception. The FL5500A FlatWave greatly improved signal quality and even allowed me to pull in [several] additional stations, for a total of 23 channels.

Can cheaper antenna provide the same results? I can't say but I can say that I'm entirely satisfied with the Winegard; it met my expectations...and then some. 11 HDTV channels for a fixed cost of $100?!?! That sounds worth it to me.

At my location ( woodbine / danforth ) in Toronto, I get 12 to 19 channels without any fiddling just moving it around my north facing living room. Antenna does not look sturdy, but really just like a mouse pad with a thin cable attached to it. Not sure how long can it last.

I pick up 17 HD channels with this antenna - it will vary based on your location and where you place this. Refer to tvfool.com to gauge how many channels you will receive based on the broadcast towers. Love the slim profile and ability to hide out of sight on the window. The build is pretty flimsy so careful when moving it about. I plugged the usb for the amplifier into the TV, rather than from the wall, and it powers it just fine. Decent alternative to the popular Mohu Leaf.

I ordered this antenna after doing some on-line reviews and finding that it was near the top in the value/performance ratio. We are moving o a 3rd floor condo and would love to cut the cable so I first tried a set of old school rabbit ears attached to a Sony 32 " LCD. I received 7 channels with this setup. So I ordered this antenna, which was received in about 4 days with Free Shipping. I hooked it up using the USB port on the TV to power the antenna and ran a scan at ground level in 3 directions which were easily accessible. I received 12 channels (Global came in twice) in the HD and SD formats, and all were stable and strong on a cloudy day with blowing snow.

So this looks like a keeper. I will try it on the 2nd floor for the next few months to see how good it is in a long term trial at a higher elevation.

The retail price of this antenna elsewhere is about $100. Through Amazon I paid about $61 with free shipping.so this is a good deal. It came in generic rather than retail packaging and next to zero information, but how much do you need?

The very long coaxial cable on this product is key as it lets you position the antenna in the most optimal location. In the condo we will have windows facing South and West and there IS a difference based on my very early trials. If you need to extend the cable with a junction fitting, the signal losses are significant so avoiding this is a biggie.

This is a great antenna at a great price based on first impressions. Most of the professional reviews support this as being the best antenna in its category. I expect that an exterior, directional antenna would be better than this interior, omni-directional antenna, but the condo will not allow it, so this appears to be a very good option. Good buy in, my opinion.
