Book Description

Since its first publication in 1994, Winning Low-Limit Hold'em, by Lee Jones, has become the major reference on playing Texas Hold'em at the lower limits. However, poker has changed over the several years and Lee has continued to study the game. The result is this revised and expanded second edition.

If you play low-limit Hold’em, or would like to learn to play Hold’em, this book is for you. It won’t teach you a lot of advanced poker theory, but it will give you a solid foundation with which you can be a winner at low-limit Hold’em.

Read this book, study it carefully, and be disciplined: you’ll be able to beat any 1-4, 3-6, or 1-4-8-8 Hold’em game you join.

From the Back Cover

"Don't read this book! If everyone followed the instructions in this book I'd have to find a new line of work. P.S. If you see a long haired homeless guy sleeping on a park bench, please give him a dollar."

-- Chris Ferguson, Champion, 2000 World Series of Poker

5.0 out of 5 stars A+++ MUST READ!, Feb 5 2005
This review is from: Winning Low-Limit Hold'em (Paperback)
If your disciplined enough to follow the guide outlined in this book you will easily be able to make the price of the book back in poker winnings. Just because this book is "low limit" doesn't mean its only for "newbies" or beginners. This is a great book for people who play at the lower limit tables and home games were there is often a lot of callers and bluffing is not as effective. If you have used Brunson's "Super System" or Sklansky's methods outlined in "Hold'Em Poker for Advanced Players" in lower limit games you most likely have already noticed they don't fair very well. This book will fill that gap. With poker being more mainstream today than ever before, there are thousands of players flocking to Vegas to play hold'em and this book will give you a huge edge over most of them.

I recommend this book for low limit table games, low limit home games, and some low limit internet games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great starting point for all players, July 12 2006

(REAL NAME)
A friend of mine received this book for as a gift and having borrowed it I have to say that my game went from good to great. I like the author's style of writing and his useful examples. He recommends you reread some chapters to fully understand the concepts and it is a good recommendation as some of his strategies require a second or third reading to fully grasp the concepts he is putting across. I would recommend this book for the absolute beginner or the "pro" who wants to tighten up their game.

Oh and yes, I did buy the book myself (updated version)and have read it numerous times.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great read. Let us buy it from Amazon for you!, Aug 6 2005
This is the book I always recommend for beginner poker players. It preaches some of the most important concepts of the game in a straightforward manner. Hold em is a game that the educated player can excel in. After reading this book you will have a good foundation to play a good game and move on to more advanced readings.

I highly recommend this book. I still read it once every six months as a simple refresher. Let us buy this book for you from amazon! Got worldpokerrewards.com to get your copy.
