Nice tables but wood finishing is not very good, we can see sanding marks under tint and varnish. I gave a tint coat and 2 varnish coats for better appearance. Now I'm quite satisfied. Are every furnitures from Thailand this quality? I will check that origin before any future order.
Than you

Much nicer than I expected June 1 2007

This just arrived to my home yesterday. I am very happy with it. It was very easy to assemble with the included allen wrench and only 12 total screws. You don't even need a screwdriver. Most of the peices are already pre-assembled including the drawer. The screw holes are pre-drilled and line up correctly. All you have to do is attach the table top and bottom shelf to the 2 sides and the table is ready to use. All of the screws are installed underneith, so you can not see them on the outside of the table (unlike many other brands of furniture that you must assemble in this price range). The table is SOLID wood: no laminate, no particle board. I bought it as a temporary solution to replace my current large bedside table while my bedroom is full with a baby crib. But now I plan to buy more of these Winsome Wood furniture pieces for my house.

Very Sturdy; Uneven Finish; Dirty May 29 2007
By M. Hanlon - Published on Amazon.com
These are hardwood tables. Easy to assemble. Nicely machined corners. Sturdy assembly hardware.

All three not square on bases. Well stained, but very poorly varnished. After cleaning and oiling, the finish remains uneven one one (the big one that sits on top).

All three needed cleaning, not just soap and water, formby's and old english before these were presentable.

Very sturdy, well designed. For a casual room or patio IMO.

Pleasantly Surprised Feb. 12 2012

I never write reviews for products but I felt I had to with this one. It was the nicest piece of $150 furniture I ever purchased. Solid wood, finshed edges, even color, easy to assemble. I turned it into a "docking station" for my small laptop, IPod, Nintendo DS and cell phones. All I did was drill a few small holes in the back for the plugs. It is small, fits out of sights and sturdy. Great desk!

Great Tables June 30 2006
By Trina Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
These tables are very high quality. They're solid wood, NO veneers. And the price can't be beat! The assembly is super easy too. I LOVE them! I would recommend these nesting tables to everyone!

Good desk overall June 22 2007
By Bennett Lin - Published on Amazon.com

It's a good quality desk overall. However, the drawer is kind of annoying. It's not held in place by tracks to limit its movement, so once you pull it out more than half way, it will tilt downwards, and you have to do some adjusting in order to push it back in.

One of the hinges on my desk was assembled wrong. The instructions come with a missing parts request form, so that's kind of convenient.

The assembly was a pain. If you look at the picture, there is a wood plug at the top on the side that covers a hole where a hex screw is supposed to go. A hex key is included, but because the top panel goes over the side by a good inch, you can only turn the screw by inserting the long end of the key and turning it using the short end. Having just moved into a new place, I didn't have a wrench handy or anything that would have made this easier.

Also, some tips contrary to the instructions: hammer in all the little metal pegs FIRST, and only insert the wooden dowels into the drawer AFTER you've pushed it into the opening.

Update: Initially I gave this desk a worse rating, as I'd just finished assembling it, which took me twice as long as it should have, due to the complications described above. However, I'm really enjoying it now. It provides decent storage space and a writing surface while taking up very little room. If that's what you need, this gets it done.
