SYNOPSIS: After the love of her life `broke her heart, Monica Lakefield vowed never to trust a sexy sweet-talking man again. Alexander Bennett works hard and plays harder when he find the time.
REVIEW: Winter Kisses is the last book in the Lakefield series. This one will pull at your hear. As the AC said there will be some grunts but there will also be some cheering as well. If you read the other book in the series then you know that Monica had some issue and in her book with find out why.
Since Monica heart had been broken she had decided not to trust any man and boy did she put up a wall around her heart to make sure no one can break, but low and behold she had not counted on Alex, from the moment that came in contact with each other it had been tense. Monica has hidden her hurt by working. We have seen that Monica love her family and will do anything for them.
Her families along with Alex thought the workaholic need some time away from the job to relax. At the exclusive Aspen Resort Alex was under the impression that this was a guy weekend before the launch of their new product that will be coming out the first of the year, and in order to get Monica there her sister told her that she had clients to meet for the gallery. Let say that the days they was there Monica find out just what type of man Alex is and found herself falling in love.
I recommend that you read Summer Heat (Karena & Sam), Touch of Faith (Denna & Max) story as well. I absolutely loved this novel and getting to know Monica and cheering her on but Alex was just the man for her he love hard and boy when her protect her protect. He knew when to push and when to back off.

Great Way to Close Series, Nov 13 2011

I loved this book. Monica was one determined to never fall in love ever again due to what happened to her in college till she meet Alex Bennett. She was dubbed the Ice Queen. I loved Alex he was alpha male and once he made up his mind Monica was the women for him he was determined to fight through her strong front. He knew there was a reason she was cold towards men and he was relentless to break through her barrier. He wanted to be the man she could love and could protect her no matter what happened in the past. I loved the intrigue and suspense of the story. I loved how Alex broke down her barriers and show her what true love is like. If you read the other previous 2book on the Lakefield you will not be disappointed with this one. Great Job A. C. Arthur what a way to finish off the series. I loved reading your stores and looking forward to reading more of your books in the near future.

This story was amazing. I knew that when the story for Monica Lakefield came that it was going to be interesting and it was that and more. I loved that it finally came out about why Monica was cold to everyone around her and the fact that she finally understood why her dad was the way he was as well. She needed a strong man who would not back down from her and Alexander Bennett proved to be that man. The love scenes were explosive and the way Alexander stood by her even when she thought she did not want or need him or anyone to will keep you reading until you finish the book. The story also provided updates on her sister's and their spouses as well. Great story and I did not put this book down until I finished it.
