As a follow-up to his Spring release, "Homecoming," Bonfield again draws upon his talented friends, Michael Mannring, Grant Geismann and Jerry Goodman, surrounding himself and his tunes with a most capable crew. Warm and charming at times, haunting and enchanting at others, Bonfield's collection of both original music and tried and true winter classics is a pleasure to listen to. Never over-done, Bonfield and his collaborators lend tastey, engaging arrangements to his melodies. This is one holiday album that I can listen to daily without tiring of it. With two great albums under his belt this year, and his budding collaboration with some of the best players in the business, I can't wait to see what Bonfield comes up with next.
