Delightful reading, Mar 20 2010

This is a fascinating chronicle from the pen of one of the most talented independent authors that I have come across. The story line is unique and full of suspense, passion and mystery. Without going into the plot on which many of the other reviewers have already mentioned, I would highlight what aspect of the book I enjoyed most. I felt the author has made extensive research to present the narrative in a very film like manner, and I felt as though I was watching a suspense movie. She has made use of historical, anthropological, religious and mythological contexts, and the use of supernatural or magical powers to illustrate the chronicle. I highly recommend it as a delightful read. I cannot wait to read her next novel.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The heroine's strong, the hero's sexy, and there's enough action that I just had to finish it in one day.

Collins Captures the Magic of Salem in Witch's Lament, July 6 2011

This review is from: A Witch's Lament (Paperback)
I'm a sucker for stories about Salem. I love the town, and it makes such a rich backdrop for a paranormal book. The author makes great use of the setting, winding in elements of Salem's violent history alongside the modern commercial aspects of the town.
The story itself is fast-paced and filled with magical twists and turns. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read and I look forward to reading Collins' next book!
