Basically, Dorothy is very hard to maneuver, especially when jumping. Maybe if the game was more exciting, I would have spent so much time playing that it would have become second nature, this odd jumping, but the game never captured me.
I have heard that you can play as the other characters, but first you have to get very far into the game, farther than I ever could get without losing interest. This might be a neat feature, especially if they can jump better than Dorothy.
A second good point of this game is the music. The midi-type music goes great with the storyline. And the music does help the game stick close to the theme: you're literally dodging lemon drops wherever you go.
But, alas, overall, this game was just too hard to maneuver and was not at the same level as Mario or other classic platform games of its time.
Sorry, Dorothy, but I don't think you're getting back to Kansas on my watch.
