On the whole, these arrangements of the familiar carols are in thin textures and easy keys that beginners will find workable, though these are reprints, and a few challenging arrangements are included. Guitar notation is sometimes in fingering charts and sometimes just in chord names. The unusual numbers in this volume are Brian Wilson's "Little Saint Nick" and a few non-Christmas spirituals such as "O Happy Day." There is a simplified instrumental of the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from The Nutcracker.
