Separated by skill level for easy selection, woodworkers will find pieces ranging in themes from animal to religion—including cuddly cats, Jonah and the whale, a wooly mammoth, and the “world’s most difficult” four-piece puzzle. 4.0 out of 5 stars Good source for all levels of scrollsawing, Jan 27 2010

If you're anything like me, somewhere in your house or apartment there's every copy of ScrollSaw magazine you've purchased. (OK, that only applies to those of you who are into scrollsawing, but you probably wouldn't be reading this review otherwise.) This book puts all the best puzzles from the magazine into one place, which sure beats pawing through that pile of old magazines to find the puzzle pattern you're sure you remembered seeing but don't remember which issue from which year. I had already made several of the puzzles in this book but was glad to have them all in the same place. There's something for everyone in this book, whatever their skill level or complexity of their shop. Many can be made with a cheaper scrollsaw and access to a photocopier.

The only thing I would change in this book would be the binding. A spiral binding would make photocopying much easier.

4.0 out of 5 stars This book has been used so much at our house it is falling apart., May 14 2011

This book has been used so much at our house it is almost falling apart. My son has used the patterns, made the puzzles, and sold them to pay for his scout camp fees for the last few years. It is our most used scroll saw book.

Very well written with graduated projects to have fun and learn scroll saw techniques for puzzels. Beautiful with simple projects for every level of talent. The entire scope of the book is well thought out and is a welcome addition to any persons art and craft library.
