4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, but it should include more wire for the $$$, April 20 2011

The whole review is summed up *nicely* in the title to this review; I had to purchase THREE of these kits to come close to completing my dust collection run in just a (former) two-car garage! Surely, this can't be the only time folks have come up needing 2 of these to finish the task. At the prices they charge, they need to double the lentgh of wire they offer.

This kit was less than $10 shipped. Yes, there are as many discussions about whether or not to ground a PVC system as there are stars in the solar system. Bottom line based on many quality articles and books - 1) although the chances of any explosions are next to none, better safe than sorry and 2) many city codes require dust collection systems to be grounded. For $10, better safe than sorry. Just make sure you run the wire are you piece your system together. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, Dec 10 2008

I used a rag on a string to make the full length of each of my two runs. Fortunately I had clear hose the last four feet in to the collector so I could feed the sting until I saw the rag. Then disconected the hose and pulled the wire through. There was enough slack in the joints of the PVC to fittings and I was able to then bend it around the end a ground it to a wall ground. All my tools are three prong to the same ground so really saw no need to ground the plastic to the body of each tool. Seems to be working great as I have had no static build up at all and it certainly dry in mid December. Just handling the pipe prior to grounding caused shocks.

This is a fairly heavy multi-strand copper wire.
