Product Description

Album Description

Over the course of the last three decades, Saga remains one of the leading bands in melodic progressive rock music. Albums like Silent Knight, Heads Or Tales and Worlds Apart are milestones in the history of refined rock music and still haven’t lost any of their magic. The current double CD of Worlds Apart Revisited contains a full live concert recording (from Pratteln, Switzerland, December 8th, 2005) and features a cross-section track list culled from albums throughout their entire career. Moreover, it presents the worldwide extraordinary and successful album Worlds Apart performed live in its entirety, as well as other exclusive live recordings and interviews from the 80s as bonus material. Available as a double CD, a double DVD version and limited edition in a lavish cover packaging containing the 2DVDs and 2CDs. As well, all versions are packaged with an extensive new booklet.

Maybe I am just ignorant, but I didn't know this was a live album. I thought it was the studio version with bonus tracks. I was very disappointed with this CD. The sound quality is just ok, and it sounds VERY dated. Maybe that's a funny statement when reviewing a 1980's prog band, but to me, the studio version sounds timeless, and this one has '90's all over it with the effects used, etc.

I bought this CD thinking I was getting the ultimate studio version of this Worlds Apart, but I listened to the CD once and have not listened to it again since.

I will buy the studio version of Worlds Apart and store this one on the shelf...

3.0 out of 5 stars Casual fan looking for hits found 2 more cds worth while and this, April 7 2012

I've watched videos of old live performances and i must say this band is as good or better now than they have ever been so if your looking for a live saga cd this ones is nice the band is very good live close to 30 years of frequently performing on stage i read no wonder why then. This has there 2 most well known american hits, all songs off there most popular album and a few other hits and popular songs by the band.

For those just looking for newer cds worth while but clicked on this live one, check out house of cards reminds me of worlds apart and Network which was harder than most of there other albums which i liked. I actually liked those 2 cds better than their very best of overll. Also worth mentioning is full circle the last half of that cd is very good the start is ok.
