Knowing nothing of this movie, I took a chance on a discounted blu-ray and was highly rewarded. What a surprising dark and ironic comic gem from (even more surprising) writer-director Bobcat Goldthwait. Robin Williams gives a great comic-tragic straight performance as the aptly titled role of perhaps the world's most annoying (and rudely perverted) teenage son. Though presented in a mainstream style, the story and subject matter is reminiscent of other cult classics (i.e. Heathers, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Harold and Maude). (Warning - this is not a family film.) My biggest disappointment is that this blu-ray is bare-bones (not even trailers) - a commentary or featurette would have been nice. Still the movie itself is highly recommended.
