5.0 out of 5 stars A Final Look At "Mr. WrestleMania" July 29 2012
By D.P. - Published on Amazon.com
vs. Chris Jericho - Although this match didn't have the emotional story attachment to like their previous one, this match is right up there with their WM19 match in my opinion as they performed such a great wrestling match with each man countering each others moves & even displaying a couple of rarely seen moves like Jericho's own mix of an indian...oops, I mean "native american" deathlock & a figure four and HBK doing an armbar while hanging over the top to yank the arm down. One heavily athletic contest.
Judgment Day '08

D-Generation X vs. Legacy - Damn, DX sure knew how to make an entrance to introduce their latest run as a team under "The DX Army" & also marks the in-return of Shawn Michaels since WrestleMania. This tag match was completely different than the previous one as this was a very strong match from start to finish as Legacy not only held their own here against DX but delivered a real breakout performance as this match had nice wresting, a good brawl on the outside, and enough time to materialize into something special as the crowd was hot from start to finish. This is one of those matches where although Dibiase & Rhodes lost, they left with more credibility than they did coming into it.
SummerSlam '09
[DX: One Last Stand]

No DQ/No Count Out Match vs. Kane - This match was under the same stipulations as the upcoming WrestleMania match against Kane's brother, Undertaker, where you could only win via pinfall or submission. Kane showed that he had the power advantage early while HBK attempted various submissions like the crossface & anklelock. The big story here was the appearance of Undertaker in the match before HBK was able to defeat Kane in what did turn out to be his last match on RAW.
"RAW" Mar. '10
[Best Of RAW 2010]

Streak vs. Career Match vs. Undertaker - Seeing how this is only the fourth time in WrestleMania history & the first time in 15 years that a non-title match is the final match at WrestleMania, you could tell that the quality they delivered last year was enough to warrant the closing position. Although these two put on such a memorable classic last year, they were able to put on another classic but different match this year as the stipulations of only winning by pinfall/submission along with the story of Shawn being so obsessed with ending the streak that he risked his own career...this match was more intense than the last one right from the opening moment when Shawn did Taker's trademark signature "throat slash" at the start. Taker hurt his leg early in the match giving Shawn the advantage by heavily working over that leg with various moves like the figure four & even the anklelock. Things really picked up from here with such moments as Shawn getting the tombstone on the floor, HBK executing a moonsault that you have to see to believe, and being able to counter moves from Undertaker that nobody else was able to counter before him while Taker himself was able to keep getting up from everything Shawn delivered. I don't want to reveal the ending but the match had such an effect on Taker to the point where he showed more emotion towards Shawn that we've seen from "The Dead Man" before Shawn refused to go out without a fight. As what has been the case with most of the matches here, keep watching after the match as you got got a very emotional WrestleMania moment.

Can't really argue here as each match was quality in it's own right so for s DVD as this low of a price, can't go wrong.
5.0 out of 5 stars THE GREATEST EVER May 22 2013

WWE
SUPERSTAR COLLECTION
SHAWN MICHAELS

The Superstars Series is a set of WWE DVD's that showcase a particular wrestler and gives you four or five of their best matches. From what I can tell they are more recent matches which is great if you are just getting into it. They are pretty cheap at only five dollars so once this one was released on my favorite wrestler ever Shawn Michaels I had to get it.

1.VS CHRIS JERICHO-excellent start to the DVD with a match from Judgment Day 2008. This was the true definition of a back and forth match with all the counters that these two traded. These two were responsible for some of the best matches ever in the WWE. From HBK's arm bar over the ropes to Jericho landed that "code breaker" before "some sweet chin music". Of course HBK gets the win after countering the "Walls of Jericho"

2.DX VS LEGACY- the match I was waiting for when this event happened as my boy HBK was returning, this being Summerslam 2009. Of course you all know by now that DX entered on the tank and such for the DX army. The match itself is great and really helped put Legacy over even in their losing effort like mentioned in other reviews. There is a lot of great wrestling going on in this match as well as some brawling. DX of course takes the win as the crowd was crazy for them the whole night.

3.[NO DQ MATCH] VS KANE-this match happened on March 22 2010 and was his last match ever on Monday Night Raw as he would lose the next match on this collection to Kane's brother Taker. This was a great match that would show Shawn's tenacity and will to win. Kane being the bigger man relied on his strength here but HBK still pulled of the win after a super kick. Of course I should mention that the Undertaker showed up and chokeslamed Shawn.

4.[STREAK VS CAREER] VS UNDERTAKER- the match I was waiting for the most that night [Wrestlemania 26] since Shawn is my all time favorite and I wanted him to beat Taker so bad. Of course everyone was right there with me but they all thought there was no way Taker was going to lose his streak even if they wanted HBK to win. Much like my brother said earlier with Bret's match but to me reality was taking place in that ring. It was because I knew that if Shawn lost he really was retiring, it was not part of a storyline. While I did not know the outcome yet I did know it would be match of the night and would live up to last year's match. This has got to be one of the most dramatic matches ever as the fans just stood up and were in awe of these two legends. There were so many near falls and close calls it was incredible. The memorable moments happened throughout the match including a great moonsault from Shawn. The ending of this match is absolutely perfect with Shawn giving Taker the throat slash so that he could be finished off like a warrior. Taker giving him respect at the end and the crowd reaction afterwards was great.

This is a great little set that really showcases HBK at his greatness. Each match is great and fun plus you get the epic final match of his career against Taker. I really didn't think I would get any of these Superstar sets until this one came out. I own every one of his VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray's so I had to get it. There are no special features but for five bucks this is a great set. If you are wanting to get into wrestling these little sets, this one in particular, might be just what you need.

Pretty good collection. Most of the matches can be found elsewhere. I basically bought it for the WM final match so that was worth the low price.
