I loved Assassin's Creed. I loved the concept, the gameplay & the story they told. However this 3rd core installment to the series has drifted much too far from it's predecessors. Whereas original AC focused solely on the kill, AC3 also allows you to hunt, sail and build a homestead. This would be fine if not for the fact that the lack of attention to the core concepts of Hide-Track-Kill have not been improved upon, leading to clunky controls. Such a shortcoming does not work in an environment of enemies with updated AI who actively seek you out no matter what hay bale or crowd you may hide in.
My advice: If you've come to honour the Creed (Stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent/Always be discreet/Never compromise the brotherhood) buy Dishonored and you will have a much less frustrating time.
