Xbox One
Play Xbox One games online or offline.

Your Xbox One does not need to be connected for you to enjoy offline features of games. In fact, you can take the Xbox One anywhere and play any disc-based Xbox One game on it. The only times you need an online connection are for initial set-up of Xbox One, and to get the latest system and title updates before you start playing some games.

Xbox One
Share, trade-in, resell, gift, & rent game discs to your heart's content.

Use Xbox One's disc-based games just like you do today. There are no limitations to using and sharing them: it works like it does today on Xbox 360. If you'd rather get your games digitally, you can purchase from Xbox Live and get instant access to playing.

Xbox One
Play anywhere with your own Xbox Live Gold account.

A single Xbox Live Gold membership works across both Xbox One and Xbox 360 – your membership covers both. And you can log into a friend’s Xbox One and access all your downloadable games, preferences, and apps.

Xbox One
You control your privacy.

You decide how personalized Xbox One is to you and your family, including privacy settings, manual or automatic sign-in, and how data is used. And when you play games or enjoy apps that use sensitive personal data, such as videos, photos, and facial expressions, no one except you can access it, without your express permission.

Xbox One
Kinect or Controller: There are a variety of ways to interact with Xbox One.

Depending on the game or app, you can control Xbox One using voice commands and gestures, a controller, a remote control or your Xbox One SmartGlass device. It is designed to interact with you in multiple ways.

Xbox One
Easily turn Xbox One and Kinect on or off.

To turn off your Xbox One, just say "Xbox Off." This puts Xbox One into standby mode where it's only listening for the voice command, "Xbox On." You can also turn off your Kinect through the system settings, or you can simply unplug it. Xbox One does not require a Kinect to be plugged in for the system to function.

Xbox One
Your Gamertag and Gamerscore follow you to Xbox One.

No need to worry: you can bring your Xbox Live Gamertag and Gamerscore with you to Xbox One. Your Gamerscore will be automatically updated once you have connected to Xbox Live.

Xbox One
Communicate with Xbox Live Gold friends using messaging or Skype.

With Xbox One and an Xbox Live Gold membership, you can use Skype to voice chat with any platform that supports it. If Skype isn't supported (like on the Xbox 360), you'll still be able to see which of your friends is online and message them.

* Advanced TV hardware required. Games, add-ons and media content sold separately. Initial set-up and some games and features require broadband internet; ISP fees apply. Online multiplayer, Skype and some features also require Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately) and/or additional requirements. See xbox.com/xboxone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good way to keep fit April 27 2014
Verified Purchase
I am not a gamer..... So I know that a lot of gamers seem to be going for the PS4 over this thing. I also understand the annoyance with the way Xbox has implemented the digital protection and the basic requirement to buy the "Gold Membership" if you want to play most any game or use things like Netflix or Skype. These things aside I still love my purchase of the Xbox. It is far better for keeping fit than the PS4 and with the gold membership you get access to lots of professional fitness training paired with the kinect. The kinect can actually measure your heart rate and mussel engagement level while you are working out so you how you are doing. Skype on the Xbox is also cool with the auto zoom and crop of the camera so you always look great and it follows you around the room when you are moving. Now if only they would implement all the cool cable box controls they have access to in the US up hear in Canada I would be 100% thrilled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny May 31 2014

I'm 30 years old, I'm a casual gamer and the budget wasn't too much of an issue.

It's an excellent console and multimedia system.

Skype works wonders.

Gaming is awesome.

It's very silent and the kinetic does an awesome job (I love launching apps without a controller).

Get it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Should have waited March 23 2014
By Danny

I decided to buy the console because it came with Titanfall at no extra charge. What I should have done was buy Titanfall on PC
and wait for a further price drop on the Xbox One. The screen tearing and frame drops in Titanfall on the Xbox One are really noticable, Was really shocked to see how poorly it runs.

As for the console itself, I really like the user interface.Nice and clean and easy to navigate. Not a big fan of Kinect but from what little I have used of it, it works well. The controller is smaller than an Xbox 360 controller but is still comfortable.

I also played through Ryse: Son of Rome, while not the greatest game, it looks fantastic and no framerate issues. My advice is to wait until there are more games before you get the console.

great deal, but i would have loved a hard copy of Titanfall included. Was delivered a day earlier than expected, I absolutely love the design and functionality of the Xbox One.
It's amazing that Microsoft also made a headset adapter so i could continue using my Turtle Beach headset on a next gen platform! Amazon has renewed my faith in online shopping!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Console July 16 2014
Great console overall, both this and the PS4 are great new consoles with some awesome games and features. You won't be disappointed with either one you choose. And for this one it was really a steal since Titanfall basically came as a free game in the bundle, so I couldn't pass up the offer.
