4.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous, but Gripping, Feb 1 2008

This review is from: Year Zero (Paperback)
Jeff Long writes with flair and I can't help but get sucked in. The premise for Year Zero is a little far fetched but for some reason this book sucked me in and didn't let me go. Definitely worth the read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good......but not great!, Aug 21 2004
By Angelo A Zaccara (Montreal Canada) - See all my reviews
The concept is great...but for me the story fizzled out in the second half, and the ending was a little disappointing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Concept, Boring Book, Jun 8 2004
By Sergey Chichkin "mysteriesofhistory" (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The whole idea of the book is very fascinating - a plague from Christ's time and place, cloning of his contemporaries, or even of Jesus himself, developing apocalypse, but the author could not implement it right. Although the first part is quite interesting, the second part is outright boring and I had to force myself to finish the book. Despite all the efforts the cure was not found so the book does not even have an end. I finished reading with feeling of emptiness and desire to know what would happen after the book's end.
