This video is a great show. The performance, as typical for Yes is absolutely professional. The video quality very high as well as the audio. I also have the CD which I listen to in the car. This video marks the first of a number of outstanding quality videos Yes has offered. Prior to this (1999) many of their releases had either bad editing, grainy, unclear video, dark environments and sometimes audio/video sync problems. But not with this one, the product is crisp and sharp.
The collection of songs is good, taking from many periods. The band is certainly enjoying the environment, having done a number of shows throughout the US at various House of Blues venues, and obviously were well rehearsed by the time they filmed this show. What also makes the show good is that the setting is not a stadium, and therefore is able to be more personal and intimate. All the best shows by super talented musicians are at smaller venues, instead of in front of massive arenas or stadiums.
I only gave it four stars, because if you want the best Video available from Yes, go with their "Yes Symphonic" recorded in Amsterdam with an Orchestra. Absolutely incredible show!!
I also have "Tsongas" and "Montreux", both excellent shows as well. So having said that, even though you may see across these videos, some of the songs may be repeated, it doesn't matter. the playing is so good, and even their solos and some of the song structure varies, therefore keeping the songs interesting from one DVD to another. I recommend any of the DVDs by Yes which I have listed. You can't go wrong with this disc or the others I reference, they are one of the most talented bands - as technical players, creative writers, and live performers.
