5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing Approach, May 8 2008

Stephanie Pappas present a refreshing approach to teaching postural Yoga. Stephanie offers excellent verbal cues that are easy to understand and well thought out. Some of Stephanie's recommendations for adjustments may not be appropriate for all teachers and students but her suggestions certainly have a place in Yoga classes and should be considered by all postural Yoga teachers.

"Yoga Postures, Adjustments and Assisting" is a user-friendly book that covers many postural issues that I encountered during my years of teachings asana classes. It also includes an extensive section of commonly asked questions with intelligent and thoughtful responses that are sure to assist teachers of every level. I believe that postural Yoga teachers and students will find Stephanie's well-written and beautifully photographed book a welcome addition to their library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing One of a Kind Book!, Jan 4 2010
This review is from: Yoga Posture Adjustments and Assisting: An Insightful Guide for Yoga Teachers and Students (Paperback)
I want to thank Stephanie for writing such a much needed book. I have been practicing and teaching for years and throughout all my trainings and personal study I always searched for such an in depth tangible approach and mechanism concerning hands on adjustments. I find that this is a topic not taught in enough depth in trainings and there is certainly a lack of information out there on this important facet to teaching. Thank You Stephanie for writing this much needed book! I definitely plan to incorporate this book as a Required Text to all future teacher trainees!
One more note, the Q&A at the end of the book are authentic and fresh, discussing issues I am sure many teachers go through and few have had the opportunity to talk about, thank you for having the courage to talk about some delicate issues in such an authentic way!
