About the Author
Talia Katasanda is the nom-de-chat of the artist who, in her nine lives, has appeared as Eric or Erica Rutherford, as painter, print maker, actor, stage designer, puppeteer, photographer, film producer, university professor and banana grower. Her paintings hang in major galleries in Europe and North America. She has lived in Britain, Europe, Africa and the U.S. and settled in Canada in 1978. Today, she lives and paints in the Prince Edward Island countryside, surrounded by cats.

Yoga For Cats,

This is a very funny little book of cartoons in which a very expressive cat illustrates various yoga poses. It's quite accurate too, with all the asanas named in Sanskrit. But it's the cat's facial expressions and body contortions that are so funny (though hard to describe). It's also great that this is a Canadian book by a Canadian artist.

The book has it's own sense of humor. For ANYONE who has ever practiced Yoga, heard of Yoga, taught Yoga or just laughed when they witnessed someone else in any stance from the Lotus -- The Perfect Posture to the Plough (A defensive position.) It is just simply refreshing. A quick read but one you will remember laughing all the way through.
