Product Description

Album Description

The long-awaited follow-up to Behrouz's Ibiza mix, this deep progressive vocal compilation, seamlessly mixed by Miss Nine, is the perfect souvenir of summer in Ibiza. Kristin Schrot began her career, not as a deejay, but as a model. Longing for more, her insatiable passion for music led her to move to Amsterdam where she began pursuing a career in the industry. Today Kristin is famous under the alias 'MissNine'. With only three months of DJing under her belt, Miss Nine received her first gig during Queensday in Amsterdam on the Red Bull float. Shortly thereafter, she became a resident at the locally legendary Motion parties where she evolved as an artist and DJ masters such as John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, and James Zabiela. Miss Nine has appeared on the cover of several magazines, most notably Elle Magazine in Amsterdam. Currently touring with Deep Dish, Miss Nine is performing around the world from Pacha in Ibiza, Space in Miami, Avalon in LA, Crobar in New York, to Ministry of Sound in London, and at various Godskitchen parties with her fan base multiplying by the minute. Miss Nine is the first female to mix a compilation for the worldrenowned leader in progressive house, Yoshitoshi Recordings.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as epic as Behrouz's Yoshi Ibiza mix, but very enjoyable, Sep 16 2011
This review is from: Yoshitoshi Ibiza (Audio CD)
Good mix.
Classics like 'In My Mind' and 'Across the Ocean' are the perfect example of the newly developing Progressive House (the majority of which has now turned extremely cheesy) sound that swept, and in effect wiped the Tribal-Prog genre that infected much of the electronic music in late 90s/early 2000s period from the face of the Earth.

Might be this nostalgia reason that I still play out the Behrouz mix, and this only comes as second best. But like I said, Kristin Schrot's selection flows quite nicely and does what it was intended for; dancing your butt off and enjoying every second of it! One problem I have is that the 'You Are Sleeping' number goes on and on for far too long and slows the flow of the album quite a bit. Good thing it picks up like a fiend afterward.

All in all a worthy CD in your collection, and one of my personal favourites from 2006!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miss Nine is Hot..., April 4 2008

I'm not a huge house/trance fan, but do buy the genre occasionally. Miss Nine will satisfy both casual listeners and hard core trance fans alike with this mix. She mixes nicely layered tracks and avoids the overly repetitive nature of most trance CDs. My favorite track is the haunting PQM track "You are sleeping" It's a stunning, hooky track that's hard to get out of your head. Put this in your iPod and you will slip away into a hot club with the beautiful & sexy Miss Nine above it all, mixing it up.
