After seeing Dr. McKeith's show on television, I decided to try cleaning up my way of eating. This book is amazing...she explains in clear detail what you should eat and why, and what you shouldn't eat and why. I have no plans to go quite as far as she advocates, but in the last two weeks I've totally revamped my eating habits, and it's been suprisingly easy to do. It's not a diet, it's a change in thinking. It works.

I have read many health books over the years and none have went into so much detail about the human anatomy. This book went into the depths of the human body from: teeth, to skin, kidneys,to lungs and nails. I was absolutely amazed at how Dr. Gillian Mckeith talked about what the different foods do for the human body. Especially if you have an ailment, she would suggest a certain food. For example, if you have dandruff she would suggest cutting back on products that have yeast or drink cranberry juice to clean the kidneys. I thought I was healthy before reading this book but I now am prepared and aware of more healthy eating choices. "You are what you eat" is a keeper and we are what we eat.

This is a great book about what to eat and what to avoid eating if you want to stay healthy (and look good). The best part are the explanations why people should avoid unhealthy food, which are really convincing. The book has a great design too.
