Product Description

Product Description

Getting pushed down the stairs by unseen hands? An old spirit hag sitting on your chest, holding you down? Strange glowing ectoplasm escaping from a grave? Don't believe everything you hear ...then again, some things can't just be brushed off. Come aboard the ghost bus and get a glimpse of Chicago's ghostly goings-on. With a healthy dose of skepticism, professional ghostbuster Adam Selzer takes you on a tour of his famously spooky town and the realm of the weird. Tag along with your tour guide Selzer, bus driver and improve comic Hector, psychic detective Ken, and prolific author Troy Taylor as they uncover cool evidence of the supernatural. Entertaining and thought-provoking, this book will make believers and skeptics alike want to tromp through their local cemetery to see if it's really haunted (or just dark and creepy). After auspiciously failing to get a 'real' job, Adam Selzer became a professional ghostbuster and founded Weird Chicago Tours in 2006 with Troy Taylor and Ken Melvoin-Berg. He writes humorous books for children and young adults by day and gives some of the best ghost tours in Chicago by night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adam's Book was just as enjoyable as a Weird Chicago Tour!, Mar 2 2010
By L. Redelman - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Your Neighborhood Gives Me the Creeps: True Tales of an Accidental Ghost Hunter (Paperback)
I have been on a few Weird Chicago ghost tours since I have moved to Chicago, and it is the most interesting tour by far that Chicago has to offer. After hearing Adam's story telling skills on the tour, I had to check out his book, and couldn't put it down. I especially think anyone that is a Chicago resident and likes a good ghost story would love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Humorous and Realistic, Feb 18 2010
By amanda j. "amanabanana" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Your Neighborhood Gives Me the Creeps: True Tales of an Accidental Ghost Hunter (Paperback)
This is a humorous account of his journeys as a ghost tour guide. I liked that the author spoke of encounters he had of the ghostly kind but still remained skeptical. Ghost hunters generally take themselves too seriously and I am glad that Adam does not. I enjoyed this book a lot!
