In Your Wildest Dreams [Mass Market Paperback]

Ms. Blake's second offering is better than her first and that was a pretty darn good book. This time we are off to New Orleans and a search for our heroine Stephanie's missing sister. She finds more in New Orleans than a mising sibling, she finds her heart and sensuality as well.

Stephanie has come from Chicago looking for her sister Tina who has turned to a lifestyle that shocks Stephanie. Armed with faith, a few pictures, and a lot of guts, Stephanie goes to Chez Sophia looking for her sister. Instead she finds ex-cop turned bartender Jake Broussard. Their first meeting is hot and stays with them both long after she has left the sensual location. She has no idea though that trouble is on it's way in the form of yummy, sexy cajun Jake.

Jake has walked away from his old life with no plans on taking up where he left off...caring way to much. Than in walks Stephanie. He can tell right off that this lady is in the wrong place and there will never be a right time either. Despite his best intentions he agrees to help her find her sister...provided she stays out of the way. It would probably be easier not to have a hurricane blow than to keep Stephanie out of trouble. Despite her lack of listening...Jake is drawn to her and when everything is said and done will he allow his heart into her keeping?

This was a great read. Steamy, sensual, with just the right amount of suspense to keep the reader engaged. Ms. Blake has established that she has what it takes to create stories that a reader will want to pick up. I highly recommend this fast-paced read and I look forward to her next offering.

A woman disguises herself as a high-priced call girl to help find her missing sister in Toni Blake's latest steamy novel, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It's a sizzling hot romance that takes place in the heart of New Orleans. Jake Broussard is a local New Orleans ex-cop who is now working as a bartender at an exclusive club called the Chez Sophia. Stephanie Grant is a sexually naive woman from Chicago who thinks she can disguise herself as a call girl in order to find her missing younger sister Tina.

When the two meet the sparks fly. Jake teaches Stephanie a lot of things behind closed doors, but Stephanie's main objective is to find her sister, who she thinks is now a prostitute. Jake doesn't want a committed relationship, but unfortunately Stephanie starts to subconsciously think that he really loves her. The sex is hot, and Stephanie tries to remind herself that after they find Tina, it's "goodbye, Jake".

The author does a good job with the sexy love scenes, but the subplot involving the runaway Shondra felt like it did not belong. While Jake's involvement with the young teen showed a different side of him that the reader will love, this part of the story felt a bit awkward as it seemed to abrupt the flow of the rest of the book.

On the other hand, Jake's past with Becky was a welcome part of the story, as it explained why he had a hard time getting seriously involved with any woman, including Stephanie. The author teases the reader, throwing out hints who Becky was, until their history is finally explained.

IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS had plenty of sexy erotic scenes for those who love their romances hot and wild. However, for those who like their romances a little bit more tame, this may not be for you. The mystery behind the missing Tina adds a dimension to the novel that the reader will enjoy. I personally didn't care for Stephanie, however, who was a bit too naive for me when it came to life on the streets. Conversely, I enjoyed Jake's character. He's what romance readers are looking for when they grab their latest romance novels. I'm giving this novel 3 stars for the story line, and would have rated it higher if I had liked the main character a little bit more.

Stephanie's first night at Chez Sophia doesn't go as planned. She is in over her head with this type of life but she meets a man who is will to help her find her sister.

Jake Broussard, ex cop, now bartender is still reeling from a tragedy in his past. He has cut himself off from this old life but seeing Stephanie brings him back to feeling again. Jake feels the need to protect Stephanie though she doesn't think she needs protection.

While looking for her sister they go deeper into the steamy world of New Orleans. Jake and Stephanie explode in the erotic world of desire and emotions. Their attraction is one of the most provocative in print. Jake and Stephanie also overcome issues from long ago to grow and blossom.

Toni Blake writes a stellar story. She weaves the steamy side along with a compelling story that grabs you and makes you want more.
