Product Description

A balance of accountability, love, commitment and common sense. You're Perfect is a no-nonsense guide filled with essential information and practical tips all parents need to keep their children out of trouble and on the right track. A must have! --Lisa Boesky, Ph.D.,author of When to Worry: How to Tell if Your Teen Needs Help—and What to Do About It

About the Author

Loni Coombs has a unique and valuable perspective on parenting in today’s world. As a former prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, she saw family after family face the brutal reality that their child wasn’t as “perfect” as they so wanted to believe. She worked with parents of young people put into prison for everything from drug possession and theft to murder, and in so doing, developed a sincere passion for helping families avoid these tragic times. But what truly makes her message powerful is her ability, as a mother and stepmother herself, to convey heartfelt support and empathy for all parents.

Prosecutor gives parenting advice so our kids will not end up in jail Dec 14 2012

This book covers it all from baby to 18. She even tells what to do if you child is ever arrested. Would would you do? She goes step by step on how to deal with many teen problems, from drinking to promiscuity. A must read.

A must read for ALL parents! March 18 2013
By Jean - Published on
Format: Hardcover
This is a well-written, easy to read book about the dangers of spoiling your kids! As a mom of 3, I see a lot of parents who refuse to believe their children ever do anything wrong (always someone else's fault), are scared to say no to their kids (oh, no! what if my kid doesn't like me?!) and are just lazy. Well, this behavior can pay off, and not in a good way! It is about time someone brought these issues to light in a readable and relatable way! I would love to give it to MANY parents I know... hoping they realize THEY are why their kids are maybe behaving the way they are.
Highly recommend!!

Good book on today's kids April 9 2013

Book is well written and perfectly describes the 'modern' parent that is always trying to keep their kid from the real world by not being honest and coddling their offspring.

there is so much valuable information in this book...I cant believe how bind or naïve I was to so many little things. it is a great eye opener and I believe that the more parents who take the time to read this book will in the long run prevent many comments in the future such as "how could this have happened" "i cant believe we are in this mess"

I think if more parents would read this they would not be so blind to their children's little games. It's not a parenting book, but it does open your eyes.
