Youthquake in my opinion, is the greatest album of its type - the mid to late 80's high energy sound made famous by the production team of Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
It is one of the first albums ever produced by SAW and stands the test of time. So much creative brilliance went onto this album - not only the virgin creativity of SAW, but the unique explosion that was Pete Burns, with some inventive lyrics and strong music defining the moment in time.
It is hard to pick a standout track. You Spin Me Round was the number 1 hit around the world. But there are far better tracks here. Big Daddy of the Rhythm and I Wanna Be a Toy are just priceless high energy classics with brilliant 'suggestive' lyrics. Pete Burns voice is immaculate, howling his way through each track with such energy unheard of before in the year of 1985. Tracks like Cake and Eat it and Its been a Long Time take the listener on a musical journey through quality high energy synth & guitar's...
This album is faultless and without peer. A must for any 80's fan collection.

First off...this in not a UK print...but a US print....

This is the original album...no re-mastering, no re-working...just pure dance club delight from the best 80's band EVER!!!....

This album (when it first came out was still a "album" :) is one of the best of all time!!!! This album has transcended over time VERY VERY well. It's hard to hear it in these songs but Pete Burns has such a beautiful voice. Definitely a collector's item you'll want to have years later!!!

From beginning to end this album is relentless & just doesn't stop...it keeps giving it to ya from one song to the next. Oh the glorious 80's. Oddly enough my favorite song became "In Too Deep", even though I bought the album for the hit "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record). Other gems are "DJ Hit That Button", "Big Daddy of the Rhythm", "Cake And Eat It", "Lover Come Back To Me", & "My Heart Goes Bang". This album is like a sinful pleasure and should be in any serious music collection.
