We purchased this water boiler for work, it is awesome and save us so much time obtaining hot water whenever you want it, no time wasted waiting for a kettle to boil.

This review is from: Zojirushi CD-WBC40 Micom Water Boiler and Warmer 4.0 Liter (Kitchen)
The Zojirushi 4 litre water boiler and warmer delivers as advertised - constant hot water at 4 different temperature settings (208F, 195F, 175F or 140F) of your choice. Unit swivels on base. Convenience for those making lots of hot drinks and for cooking. The nonstick coating of the container is easy to clean and does not build up as the stainless steel containers in other cheaper brands. Very good control panel that includes boil light, reboil button, temperature set button and keep wam light. Dispensing hot water is simple once the unlock button is pressed (automatically locks afterwards). The power cord is like the magnetic one used in Apple laptops that detaches easily and without causing damage. Note the following features that are less well-known. (1) Constant on means hourly energy consumption of between 51W - 21W, depending on whether water is kept warm at 208F or as low as 140F. (2) Timer button is an energy-saving feature that allows you to shut down the boiler with restart, starting at 6H, 7H'10H. You have to manually set this each night - so no automatic timer built-in. One final note is that this is not a kettle that will boil hot water available in a few minutes. This boiler heats the water up to 208F before lowering the temperature to the set level - something that takes roughly 30-45 minutes. Easiest way to avoid waiting times in the morning is to fill up the Zojirushi at bedtime and set the timer. Only have had it two weeks so durability and lasting quality of built not yet known. Expensive but much more versatile than a quality electric kettle.

A Dream Water Pot,
By Life Here "Learning" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zojirushi CD-WBC40 Micom Water Boiler and Warmer 4.0 Liter (Kitchen)
This is my second water boiler. The first one I owned was a no-name brand and worked for about 15 years. Unfortunately, it never heated the water as hot as I liked and when pouring from the spout it spurted so I could never put water in a small cup or container -- only a large teapot or french press. This pot is a dream. It heats to different temperatures. It dispenses beautifully, even into tiny expresso cups to warm them (with the slow dispense). I have no problem recommending this water boiler. I also love the feature that holds the water overnight so that it is not continually boiling and saves electricity. I am happy that I decided to purchase this instead of an electric tea kettle. It is nice to have hot water for making grains and mixing stock powders quickly.
