This historic performance by the original Buena Vista Social Club, at New York's famous Carnegie Hall, was the center-piece of the hugely successful film directed by Wim Wenders. Produced by Ry Cooder, the album features brilliant & unrepeatable performances by legends including Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, Ruben Gonz lez, Eliades Ochoa, Omara Portuondo, Cacha¡to L¢pez, and Guajiro Mirabal. Complete with a picture booklet [featuring an adaption of the cover artwork from the first album] containing extensive sleevenotes by Ry Cooder and the musicians themselves. 2008
