Product Description

From Amazon

--Emilio Balturi --This text refers to an alternate Mass Market Paperback edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars The image quality is okay, aside from "occasional marks" April 1 2014

I would not comment on the content of the book because I don't think I have sufficient expertise to do so. However, I would like to review the re-print quality of the paperback. It is not the first book that I buy that would be a re-print of a century-old publication, yet this is the first time when I felt deceived, believeing that "occasional imperfections" are within reasonable limits. Usually such reprinted books would have narrow black streaks at the margins that occur due to scanning, which is okay, but the original book that Ulan Press used had a lot of random marks made by its reader(s) (like dashes, undelines, brackets, arrows, etc.), and some of these are quite distracting. I understand the publisher's desire to preserve original formatting and all, but I doubt the publisher had made any effort to conceal those, at very least, prior to printing. Anyway, if you are the preson, like I am, who doesn't like other's highlights, marks, or comments in books, this is not the best version of the book to buy.
