I bought two of these cables because I am trying to connect my ps3 and my laptop to my monitor through a switcher... It's cheaper and more practical than getting another monitor just for the ps3.
The cables are tough and durable, so I really like them. The mesh is so much better than some of the weaker plastic material seen on other cables. The price is great, and they work perfectly.
I really don't think buying an $80.00 cable is necessary, because these work very well, and they were pretty cheap.
My set up includes a 1080p IPS monitor by ASUS which is connected to a HDMI switcher box and has my ps3 and laptop both connected through the inputs(using these cables). I have bought this company's "gold red yellow stone cables" before (December?), and it's still holding up.
There's only so much (I think) than can be said about HDMI cables... They work, and I've used them before. No complaints so far.
