Product Description

Although his position is weakening, Prime Minister Francis Urquhart is determined to beat Margaret Thatcher's record at Number Ten, a target only months away. An autumn challenge to his leadership seems inevitable. Is time running out for Francis Urquhart?

From the Publisher

'Razor-sharp and merciless . . . One thing is certain: F.U. will be remembered for much longer than many a real Prime Minister.' - Daily Mail

'A triumphant return ... The action is unflagging, the characterization razor-sharp, the satirical barbs at politics and politicians unfailingly accurate. What a brilliant creation F.U. is.' - Sunday Telegraph

'Thoroughly entertaining. Urquhart is a joy, and the wonderful games he plays have lost none of their attraction.' - The Times --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of the trilogy, Mar 26 2001
By Robertomelbourne (Melbourne, Australia) - See all my reviews
The third and best installment of the trilogy. The writing is a little laboured, by the plot rattles along. The plot line and developmetn is a lot tighter than the previous two books. The despicable PM is finally seen as the creature of his own making - manipulative, irredeemable, and subject to his own success. Overall, a good, light read into fictional British politics, that doesn't tax the readers intellect or political knoweldge too heavily,
