Product Description

From Amazon.com

It would seem that 14-year-old Mia Thermopolis ("five foot nine inches tall, with no visible breasts, feet the size of snowshoes") has the kind of life every Manhattan teenager could only dream of: She is, in her spare time, the princess of the European country of Genovia. Alas, the Royal Privilege is more like a Predicament. Not only does she have to endure daily princess lessons from her critical Grandmère ("It isn't as if I'm going to show up at the castle and start hurling olives at the ladies-in-waiting"), but her new stepfather is also her algebra teacher, her mother is pregnant and vomiting, she doesn't like her boyfriend very much, and she's convinced the real love of her life--her best friend's older brother--thinks of her as a kid.

Written in diary form like Louise Rennison's award-winning Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging, Meg Cabot's endearing and often hilarious novel Princess in Love--third in the series after The Princess Diaries and Princess in the Spotlight--is sure to appeal to teen readers who will be able to relate to Mia--a young woman who would like people to know that "behind this mutant facade beats the heart of a person who is striving, just like everybody else in this world, to find self-actualization." (Ages 12 and older) --Karin Snelson --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

From Publishers Weekly

The third installment of this series finds Her Royal Highness (aka Mia) preparing to meet the populace of Genovia while trying to dump one boyfriend for another. Ages 12-up.

5.0 out of 5 stars OMG!!! THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES!!!, Jan 20 2006
By A Customer
After recently reading all of the Princess Diaries books (here-on- after written as PD), I found that this had to be the best!!! OMG!!! I was recently dumped (by a huge jerk btw,) and I just realized that I couldn't put the book down, although I've read it thousands upon thousands of times (so many times in fact, that the spine is starting to wear and the colour is peeling off)! The PD series is spectacular and like it's predecessors, I was not let down by this series! PD III is the utmost best of the series, and I can say this with experience, because I've read it that many times! Anyways, as I was crying, I was reading the book and I couldn't help but smile at the end of the book!!! The ending is utterly fabulous! For those of you who think that the book is completly slow, and gave up in the middle of it, I advise you to continue reading to the end of the book! You will not be dissapointed, and plus, the ending is totally worth waiting for! I'm not going to give anything away, because that totally makes me mad so all that I am going to say is that there is a total “OH MY GAWD!!!” factor in this book!!! If you are a hopeless romantic, I seriously advise you to read this book... it is nothing short of spectacular!!!!!

I thought that this was the best "Princess Diaries" book that I've read yet! I really thought that it was the best written and had a definite plot. I loved it - especially the happy ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars -CuTe-, Jul 3 2004
By LiNdSaY (Atlanta, Georgia USA) - See all my reviews
I thought this book was very cute, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it was a LITTLE bit slow moving for my taste, and the ending was a little to fairy-tail for me. But I did like it a lot. I think that it really brings you into the story and it's a lot of fun! I totally recommend it, for teens especially.
