I love this series. This book had no dull spots and kept you interested the entire time. I was able to finsh this whole book in one day because i was so into it. In this book Tom and the Spook wind up trying to stop a huge amount of witches who are trying to summon the devil himself to earth with the help of only Alice and one of the Spooks former apprentices. Tom is faced with a lot of challenging decisions and I had no idea what was going to happen because everywhere he turned had a new consequence. The book is dark and scary without being to frightening. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone about grade 6 and up.
